Bohb had to admit that he had gotten a little excited when Sekal had contacted him.  He rushed down to the lab and set everything up to give as much surprise value as he could for a Vulcan.  He knew that the presentation was really for himself, but still, he could hope.  He was pretty sure that the son of Salek would be unphased by it all.


The door open and Sekal got straight to the point.  “Lt. Bohb.  What did you require me to see?”


Bohb wheeled with huge grin on his face.  He knew that the look did not give him the most mature look, as simian grins tended to look… goofy.  But he couldn’t help himself.


“Son of Salek,” he said excitedly, “I hope that your meeting was successful.  Yes, yes, never mind that.  I have something here that you had to see.”  He indicated to a cloth in the middle of the work table.  “I hope that you have been seeing the reports that I have been sending you and Commander Gregory about the progress of my “special project.”  But I have completed my tests and it is ready.”


With a drum roll inside of his mind he picked up a corner of the cloth and with a flourish of a magician producing a rabbit from a hat he removed the cloth.  It revealed a glowing cylinder about 12 inches in diameter, and three inches in depth.  Inside the cylinder glowed with an obvious energy flow.

“I have a created a container that will be able to contain Luma’s life force that is safer and more secure than the anelurian crystal you’ve been using.  I would like your permission, and Luma’s, of course, to have her… well… try it on for size.”
