(Earth - Shadow Pines- Hamptons - SFI Office - SFI -  Lt Michael Weston - 1817)


Michael was vexed a little.  First he did not like the idea that Leeza and Quinna were competing over his time and affections.  He loved them both but in different ways.  Leeza was like his little sister, who he would lay down his life for, if needed.  But Quinna held his heart, and he would lay down his soul for her.


“How do you think your little girlfriend will handle the baby?”  Quinna asked.



Michael huffed, “Well I’m hoping that she will have warmed up to you by that time.  She just needs time.  It was just me and P’Rah for the last six months.  And Gregory for the six months before that.”  He reached out and took hold of her hands.  “Just give her time.”


“I know this is probably, and I know you are with me for the long hall, but sometimes my heart sinks a bit when I see how Leeza and the way she tried to tear you away from me.  It is crazy to be jealous of a 3-year-old.”


Now he had to chuckle, “You have nothing to be jealous about.  You won’t catch me doing this with Leeza.”



He pulled Quinna into his arms and kissed her lips.  When they parted he could see the smile return to Quinna’s face.  Quinna started to move towards the fire, pulling Michael along by his hand.  When the arrived at the fire he smiled at Doctors Penn and Teller.


“Gentlemen,” Weston said.



Penn looked up and smiled evilly, “Wasn’t sure if the two of you were going to make it all the way to the beach.”  He turned to Teller and said with a giggle, “Sargeant Milton Warden with Karen Holmes, on the beach.”



Michael found a pair of chairs and brought them over so that they could sit beside the two scientists.  He actually caught the reference.  “Nothing quite that sordid, Doctor.  There is just a little love in the air.”



He looked over at Quinna and winked.
