Mission:  Prelude
Day: 2
Stardate:  2446.03.24

(USS Illuminar - Deck 2 - COps office  - 2/O&COps CMDR Dieter Gregory -
0900)

Gregory sat at his desk, reports unread on the screen in front of him.
He sipped his tea absentmindedly as he thought about the last few hours.

He slept well for the first time since waking up from his coma.  When he
woke in the morning, he realized it had not been a dream, but Aggie lay
there next to him.  Kissing her, she stirred and soon the two were
repeating their evening activity.  A long shower followed as the two
continued to discover each other, words were not necessary.

After a quick breakfast, the two agreed to meet for lunch and headed off
to their respective jobs.  It took his willpower to not make a visit to
sickbay for his leg, which was feeling remarkably well.  He didn't know
what it was, but there was something there.

His door chimed, bringing him back to the real world. In walked his CPO
for the daily brief.  "Hello Ms. Ywan.  Tell me some good news for a
change.  We're at Sol, half the crew is on shore leave, while the other
half wish they were."

Ywan looked at her boss, "You ok, Sir?" she asked

"Never better.  Lets get it started," he replied.

An hour later, the two had reviewed all the logs and plans for the
remaining staff.  He made a note to check up on Matrix and Morganthall.
He had not heard any complaints, yet, so hoped the two of them were
handling the upgrade professionally.

"Computer, begin recording.  Second officers personal log.  Stardate
2446.03.24.  This is my second full day back on duty, and with much of
the crew on shore leave or preparing to attend the wedding of T'Mur and
Verin, we are able to get some maintenance and upgrades done before our
next mission.  Personally, I'll be staying on the ship, although this
means I will miss visiting the Bahamas.  Fortunately Aggie was
understanding.  I must admit, there is something alluring about her that
I just can't place.  Almost like a woman from a dream.  But she is very
real.

I have not noticed any more negative effects of my time in a Coma,
although I have had the occasional headache and a bout with floating
lights.  My leg, which has required me to use a cane on occasion, was
remarkably better this morning.  I will check with the medical staff
about physical therapy.  I would like to get back to running.  I suspect
climbing will be out for a while longer. "  Gregory paused as a light
was flashing on his console.  "Computer end recording and save."

Turning to the screen, he tapped his com badge, "Gregory here, what is it?"

(reply none?)
