"Mr. Matrxi, ah good," Gregory said.  "Its time to earn your keep in 
operations," he said smiling.

"Ms. Morganthall will be overseeing an upgrade to the scanner arrays 
based on the current recommendations from the Engineering corp," he 
handed the man a PADD.  "You can see the specifics here."

"I want you to work with her on this process.  Your engineering 
background will be invaluable in getting this project done efficiently," 
he said as he motioned to Morganthall to come over.

"Mr. Matrix, I am sure your first inclination will be to do the work 
yourself.  I know, I have had the same desires.  However, as Operations, 
we oversee and direct the process.  We validate the work done, first at 
the sensors, then the integration into the ships systems.  I don't mind 
you getting your hands dirty, but make sure to direct more than do. Does 
that make sense?"
