(USS Illuminar - Deck 1 - Bridge 2/O&COps CMDR Dieter Gregory - 1400)

Gregory sat in the command chair.  He was monitoring the comings and 
goings of the crew while working on a skeleton crew schedule.  He really 
wanted to accommodate Dr. Aggie with a trip to the Bahamas, but working 
the schedule, he was going to have to stay aboard in command.  It would 
give him some time to read and work on his physical being.  Noone was 
sure why his leg was still hurting, and why he needed a cane.

He had approved P'Rah to accompany Michael and Leeza to Dr. Solice's 
house.  It was curious that their two scientists were leaving the ship. 
It was more impressive the number of cases the two took with them.  He 
could only imagine some new research project that would lead to who 
knows what.

Tapping his com, "Ensign Matrix, please report to the bridge."

Turning around to the operations officer, "Ms. Morganthall, I want you 
to work with Matrix, I want to have a full diagnostic on the scanners 
and see about tuning them based on the most recent recommendations from HQ."

"Aye, Sir." came the reply. "I saw that proposal.  I will need to get 
some additional equipment."

"That's ok, take advantage of Mr. Matrix's engineering background."

  "Incoming transmission, Sir,"  Morganthanll called.  "For you, marked 
private."

"Pipe it to my PADD."

Gregory read the message twice, "Thank you Ms. Morganthall," he said. 
Hesitating, he deleted the message and tapped his comm again.

"Dr. Vanderstein, please come to the bridge at your convenience," he said.

Settling back in the seat, he waited.
