Stardate: 2446.03.20

(USS Illuminar  – Ready Room – Deck 1 – 3XO/CMO Commander Quinna Solice –
0630)

Quinna stood at the door of the ready room.  She took a deep breath and
rang the chime.  It was now or never.  She waited for the invite to enter
before she walked in.  She wondered why she was nervous about telling the
captain about this.  He was reasonable.  She knew he would work with her.
Maybe she was nervous about the circumstances.

After being granted access into the ready room, Quinna stepped in and
waited for the door to close, “Sir, Captain, do you have a few minutes for
me?  I have to talk to you.”

“I am pregnant.”  Quinna said, “Aside from some severe morning sickness,
which has occurred when I am not on the bridge, I am fine and have been
fully capable of attending to my duties.  That includes away missions.”

“The baby is more than likely not Mr. Westons.  Here are the facts.  I
found out I was two weeks pregnant on Stardate 2446.03.14.  Then Something
happened but between then and stardate 2446.03.17, my pregnancy advanced an
additional 6 weeks.  The running theory is it has something to do with the
Bajoran wormhole and the residents within.”
