 (USS Illuminar -- Ready Room – CO – Captain Sekal –1556)

 “It was a shame that he couldn’t somehow weaponised Luma.  She would be
invaluable as an asset. A potential  weapon of mass destruction.”

Sekal met his gaze with an uplifted eyebrow. "Such weapons are a two edged
sword Lieutenant and can just as easily destroy they who created them as
those upon whom they are loosed. It is a lesson that has been hard learned
by many civilizations, some of which no longer exist as a result."

 “I now have a better understanding of Luma, Captain. “ His chief of
security finished the glass and rose to his feet. “Thank you for seeing me
Sir.”

 "Of course Lieutenant, I am always available for consultation should you
have questions and to clear up misunderstandings."

Sekal watched Keung Lee leave the Ready Room then shook his head. It was
the way of things. Entropy was always pushing to find an entrance and roll
back order. It was resisting their attempts to revitalize the Federation
and push back out into the quadrant and would always be there attempting to
destroy what was being built. That was its modus operandi and if given the
chance it would find a way to destroy from within. Countless civilizations
had fallen to it in the past and as many would do so in the future.

And eventually the Federation would succumb to it as well. But not within
his lifetime if he had a say.
