Mission: Death in the Shadows
Day: 9
Stardate: 2446.02.09

(Sigma Draconis VI - Underground Complex - CO - Captain Sekal and SPC
Ensign Galk - 1343)

"You are expected." The Morg in the center spoke and motioned to their
right as a wall slid aside with only a whisper of noise. No seam had been
obvious and it could have been a wall of any corridor in the complex
outwardly. Sekal looked to it then inclined his head as the group of three
they faced walked through without speaking further and he followed.

Galk growled in irritation as he stepped forward and walked beside the CO.
Decorum would no doubt have the Chief of Tactical in his spot but the
Klingon was armed and had appointed himself Sekal's bodyguard, if T'Mur
wished to have a pound of his flesh later she could try to take it.

It was only a dozen steps to the next door which opened before the leading
Morgs and they followed them into a large chamber, the other trio had
followed behind them.

The chamber was decorated in beige and brown with a minimum of red edging.
It wasn't sparse by any stretch of the imagination though it stopped short
of living quarters. There were two divans in the same color scheme, one on
each side of the entrance and a table beyond upon which sat several
mementos to technology as well as what looked to be a terminal screen.

Behind the table was an arc of transparent material which protruded from
the wall like the outer half of a tube that stretched from floor to
ceiling. The tube was crystal clear and exposed a whorl of blinking lights
in a number of colors that were part of some instrumentation. Radiating
from the tube along the ceiling were a number of branching conduits that
seemed to enter the walls.

The woman seen on the main viewer was standing behind the table and
appeared expectant if a bit trepidatious. The three that had followed the
group in passed them by and joined the first three who were standing in a
line between them and the female.

Sekal stopped before them and let his hands fall at his sides. To cross his
arms would be a closed and defensive body posture, his hands cupped at his
back completely open. His stance at this time was open but guarded. Galk
standing to his left crossed his arms, the phaser hung from his belt over
his right hip. T'Mur and Surkal stepped forward to his right.

"I assume that you are the one who speaks for the controller." Sekal began.
"We appear to have been brought here at the Controller's summons. You will
have to forgive the damage to two of your cells, I did not wish to keep the
Controller waiting should that summons be considered urgent."

(Reply: Controller, any)

"I am Captain Sekal of the USS Illuminar, to my left Security officer Galk
and to my right my chief tactical officer T'Mur and cadet Surkal. It would
be helpful to know why you made the Vulcans of my crew the object of your
invitation."

(Reply: Controller, any)

Sekal stepped forward. "It is true I took an aggressive stance during our
communication. The beings who have been using and distributing advanced
destructive weaponry have caused unknown loss of life through their
intrigue and depredations. My own ship was attacked while attempting to
rescue a freighter crew and heavily damaged. We recovered some of this
weaponry as well as intelligence that brought us here."

(Reply: Controller, any)
