(Sigma Draconis VI - Underground - CTO - Lt (jg) T’Mur – 1339)

“It is not my intention to remain incarcerated to await the pleasure of our captors Lieutenant,” Sekal stated.

It seemed, to T’Mur, that the wisest course was to discover the purpose of this Controller’s actions. She was curious as to the reason the controller only transported the Vulcans. They had already determined that the Klingon was… an accident. Serendipitous at best. However hers was not to question his decision at this juncture. There just seemed something odd about the decision.

“When we meet the Controller I plan on it being on my terms not hers. This might be construed as an aggressive stance on the part of another however it is vital it not seem we are here to solicit favors on her part. Star Fleet is determined to end the menace that the pirates pose and it will be done with or without her assistance."

She considered questioning the logic of his choice, then decided against it. They needed to present a united front, so she stood up and joined Sekal at the door.

“What is it that you are looking for, sir?” she asked. She was no engineer or scientist.

"All technology,” he explained, “as you are aware, has some similarities. Energetic output requires something to power and deliver it as well as a method or grounding or bleeding off excess energy. Interrupt the flow of either one and you disrupt the device."

Suddenly he stopped talking as though he felt something in the wall.

"Mr. Galk is your phaser still functional?" he asked the Klingon.

"It should be,” Galk replied. “I have a full charge. An energy dampening field would suppress the power cell."

"Bring it here and use the heat setting to burn through the wall at this location," Sekal ordered pointing to the spot his hand was on.

"Setting 8, firing,” Galk warned. "This will take several minutes."

As Galk continued his work they heard a voice from the hallway. "This is Cadet Surkal of Starfleet. I have been taken from the USS Illuminar. Who is out there?"

"This is the Captain, cadet,” Sekal answered. “We shall be free and with you momentarily."

Galk fished his cut and the piece he separated feel to the floor. Sekal then proceeded to have the Klingon cut through the internal workings of the power to the energy containment fields. Once done the yellow glow disappeared and they stepped into the hallway. They moved over to the cell holding Surkal and Galk used his phaser on the controls rather than take the time to figure them out.

"Come cadet,” Sekal urged, “our hosts will be along shortly and we do not want to make their search for us simple. The Controller will doubtless not be expecting an armed force to answer her summons

“Yes, sir," Surkal replied, as he fell into step behind T’Mur. She was more comfortable bringing up the rear of the quartet and moved the cadet closer to the captain.

"Captain, what is our current objective and where are we?" Surkal asked.

“We are in, I surmise cadet, an underground facility on Draconis Sigma VI,” T’Mur explained. “Our objective would seem logical. To return to the Illuminar.”

"Sirs,” the cadet said after a few minutes of moving through the corridors, “I am currently unsure as to how useful it will be, however, my PADD and Stylus appear to remain functional and active."

T’Mur looked interested, “Indeed Cadet. May I see it?”

She held out her hand and the cadet handed the PADD to her. With a few adjustments she was able to record their journey and start creating a map of the facility. With a few more adjustments she was able to show their location on the map using life signs. Suddenly she noticed a group of unidentified life signs coming towards them.

“Captain, there are 6 life signs approaching our location,” she called out.

Suddenly a voice came from behind them, “Here! I have found the others.”

Three large, and muscular men stepped in front of them and three behind. They did not make a move to attack them. Their attempt seemed to simply block their passage from where they were. Six men were not a huge obstacle, but T’Mur looked to the captain for his decision.
