Mission: Death in the Shadows
Day: 9
Stardate 2446.02.09
(USS Illuminar - Deck 1 - Bridge - FO Commander Sienna Williams-Verin– 1329)
Sienna had been sitting on the Bridge, watching the incoming enemy
fighters come up from around the curve of the planet.
“Captain,” T'Mur tried to warn, “we are about to be scanned by a high
energy particle beam. Trying to compensate shields.”
She heard her bondmate speak and looked, up to meet T'Mur's eyes, and the
quick telepathed statement that had Sienna out of her seat, horror etched
on her face.
::I will be fine.::
"Commander Verin, searching for the Captain's signature. However there is
an
increase in the ionization in the D and E layers of the ionosphere that
is scattering our scanners. It will also affect our ability to transport
to the surface."
Sienna's mind was screaming incoherently and her body stood in shock,
"She's alive." Sienna spoke, trying to be calm. "Since she's alive, that
means that likely the Captain is as well. How did they get through our
shields, Mr. Gregory?"
<Reply Gregory>
=^= Engineering to Bridge, I've lost a Cadet suddenly, missing anyone up
there?=^=
One thing after another hit Sienna too quickly, her mind still screaming at
the separation from T'Mur. "We have, Ensign Alantar. Which of the
engineering cadets was it?" Sienna knew that the reason the Illuminar had
a disproportionate number of engineering cadets was the new crystalline
drive that the other ships were being outfitted with. Starfleet needed
young engineers who had a great deal of experience with said drive.
<Reply Alantar>
"Luma!" Sienna spoke sharply, trying to cut through Luma's distress that
her bondmate was gone. "Luma how many people disappeared?"
=^= Three. Our Sekal, Our Sienna's T'Mur and the Surkal. =^= Luma's voice
showed a slight distaste as she named the third vulcan.
"And Luma are there any other vulcans aboard?" Sienna pressed.
=^= Ensign Celiste Winters, Ensign Skashe Winters. CPO Liray Bjin. =^=
"But they are all mixed race vulcans, all three are about a quarter vulcan
at best. So the Controller..or whoever else seems to be in charge down
there, has the Captain and my bondmate and a valuable cadet. Why the
Vulcans?" Sienna asked quickly, thinking out loud, "Ideas, people. Why
would the Controller want our full blooded vulcans?"
<Reply Any, iyw>
"Ma'am, we still have incoming, they have not broken off. Their shields
are up, am not detecting energy weapons." Gregory spoke quickly.
Sienna nodded, turning her mind back to the present, "For now the Captain
is on his own. Evasive Pattern Omega, variance 4b. Mr. Gregory, transmit
the news to our Starfleet compatriots about the Captain. Tell the Vice
Admiral that we think the Controller took his son, and that we are not sure
why that woman took all of our full blooded vulcans."
She took the center seat, anchoring herself as the ship began to fly,
"Randomize out flight pattern, Ms. Grey Wolf." Sienna ordered, wondering
when the relief from tactical was going to get here, and who was being
sent.
"Lock phasers on the largest vessel, Mr. Gregory and fire when in range.
Target their engines."
(reply Gregory, Alantar, any)
