"Sir, we are getting a transmission from the surface of the planet. Someone
called the 'Controller' is ordering us to leave orbit or be fired upon."

"Open a channel Mister Gregory."

(Reply: Dieter)

The viewer wavered and was replaced by the interior of a room somewhere
upon the surface of the planet. A woman wearing a leather halter and bottom
carried a bracelet studded with buttons on her left wrist. =^= I am the
Controller. You are in violation of our sovereignty. You must leave
immediately. =^=

Sekal stood to his feet and his hands cupped at the small of his back. "A
point of order Controller, we are not and never have been in orbit around
your planet. We are currently anticipating an attack by elements of a
pirate and smuggling operation that is based in the northern hemisphere of
your planet. Are you aware of them?"

(Reply: Controller)

"And what have they promised you and your people for your protection? They
are lawless elements selling destructive technology and weaponry and I have
been ordered to shut this illegal enterprise down. I can blockade this
system possibly however my orders are quite clear. To destroy their
operation by any means necessary."

(Reply: Controller)

"You would be wise to reconsider Controller. This vessel is far more
advanced than the Constitution Class ship that visited your planet before.
While I would take no pleasure in the destruction of yourself and what
remains of your civilization I am prepared to take that step should it
become necessary."

(Reply: Controller)

"Mr. Gregory end the communication. Tactical realign the main phaser banks
to Dark Matter output and pinpoint sources of power generation on the
planet's surface."

It was at that time that the report came in that they were being scanned.

"Shields to full. Luma shut off access to main systems and wall off
technical specifications for this ship. They will gain only surface
information that will not help them."

(Reply: Tactical, Luma)

He stayed on his feet until the scan ceased. "Are the phasers realigned?
Place on standby, do not fire except on my order. What is the status of the
enemy ship?"

(Reply: Tactical)
