(USS Illuminar - Deck 1 - Ready Room - CO - Captain Sekal - 0618)

Sienna and T'Mur had departed mere minutes ago and he was pouring another
glass full of water from the pitcher. The two extra glasses he had taken
from the replicator remained untouched. Keeping the information from his
first officer this long had been unfortunate but due to rapidly unfolding
events. Now that she was aware of what was going on behind the scenes
however and been fully briefed events could be allowed to evolve naturally.

 His eyes drifted to the dark matter hand phaser displayed on the sideboard
beneath the plaque that denoted Illuminar as first of her class. The weapon
was a reminder of how far certain elements would go in order to achieve
their goals. Section 13 had been a part of StarFleet Intelligence but
heavily influenced by Roanoke's goal of expansion through conquest and
after leading elements had been arrested their attempted coup had been
outmanuevered and section 13 disbanded. The weapon was no different that
the vertiron hand phaser in effect and had promptly been banned save for
anti-ship use.

His attention was arrested by the door chime and he looked toward the
portal. The seal had been removed from his office after the departure of
the two officers. "Come".

His eyes followed the Ferengi as she entered. "Have a seat Counselor." He
waited until she had perched in one of the chairs. Her movements showed
nervousness. "Would you like a glass of water?"

"How may I assist you Ms. Reea?"
