NRPG: I can't stand repeated words in an otherwise good piece of writing.
It's my OCD that caused this repost.

Mission: Death in the Shadows
Day: 7
Stardate: 2446.02.07

(USS Illuminar - Deck 4- Lounge - CO- Captain Sekal - 2359 )

He had slipped in at an opportune moment it seemed. Sienna had just started
singing the initial selection and all eyes were on her. He had moved from
the door quietly toward a small table near the bar on the far side of the
room from the stage. The bartender Sam Malone had spotted him instantly as
soon as he took a seat and hurried over leaving Ensign Clifford and
Lieutenant Norman who were on barstools in the corner drinking a cold
beverage judging from the condensation on the glasses which was amber in
color. The two were too engaged in their discussion to note his arrival.
The fact that the Klingon Galk who was his 'baby sitter' for the evening
managed to enter behind him without being noticed was proof of just how
much attention was being paid to the stage.

Sienna had a notable singing voice though he preferred listening to her
playing the flute as she had that night he had been walking on the base
grounds and been drawn to the Red Sands Tavern where she had been playing.
He had stayed to listen to all of her selections. That had been the night
of his first meeting with Charles Tamblyn who had over a year later been
assigned to his ship. CPO Tamblyn had at that time been promoted by him
into the commissioned officer ranks as an Ensign. Mr Tamblyn had later been
removed from the ship by command with no reason given.

Following Sienna, T'Mur took the stage and began singing to her mate.
Together the songs had made a highly emotional display in celebration of
their bonding. A tall, cold glass of orange juice had been placed by his
elbow and he took a drink as Luma appeared on the stage in an eerie form
she had settled on at some point and she sang as Sienna played the flute.
This was what he had been expecting but it was given a haunting quality as
Luma's avatar sang in accompaniment in what he recognized as the Illuminari
dialect. He had once compared the language along with Sienna to ancient
Betazoid as she sang a small piece of a song. Listening to Luma now his
thoughts were comparing the two and found they were not far dissimilar.
More evidence that the ancient race of Illuminari were in fact the
progenitors of the Betazoid.

He noted the arrival of the Ferengi Counselor mere seconds before shouting
ensued from a table farther toward the stage followed by Michael Weston
jumping from his seat and pulling Doctor Solice out of her chair then
dragging her toward the doorway as he raved.

They were met by the CO with the towering Klingon standing beside him
before they got halfway to the door. As Weston's eyes met his Sekal reached
out with his right hand and placed the fingertips upon the nerve cluster
atop his left shoulder and squeezed. Weston crumpled to the floor and Sekal
turned his head toward the Klingon. "Mr. Galk take Mister Weston to his
quarters so that he may sleep off the effects of the alcohol he has
consumed."

He then turned emotionless eyes to the Doctor who had been released from
the man's hold. Her eyes were accusing, her face growing scarlet with
anger. "Good evening Doctor."

He then turned and strode from the lounge as Galk hefted Weston to his
shoulder like he weighed no more than a child and followed him out.
