(USS Illuminar -  Chief Lee's Office -  ESIO  LT JG   Ariel Trei - 0815)

Chief Lee was still processing the idea of a profiler and Security consultant as he listened to Lt Ariel Trei as she explained as to why she been assigned to the Security Department.

"I have been assigned to work under your command to investigate the infiltrators using my empathic and telepathic abilities.  I am assigned to interview these infiltrators as well.  If i have to fight a few of them along the way so be it.  As you may know I am preparing for the Rite of Ascension.  Getting in physical situations should help in that regard.  I have some theoretical ideas for security to discuss when you are ready for that  What do you need me to do Sir and how will I be I officially addressed." Explained Trei


Lee picked up his mug of tea and took a drink  “First of, when we are alone, we can forget the formality of rank, Ariel.  We use our rank when we are in the presence of other ranks.  I want to say, that Security officers are not a ‘gung ho’ bunch of Neanderthals. We are there to maintain the peace as far as possible without resorting to violence in first instance.  There will be times when we are forced to use force.  What I am saying, Ariel it is admirable that you are preparing for the Rite of Ascension but you shouldn’t really be so anxious to get into physical..er..combat.  We’re not marines!”  As for your job title.  I like the sound of a security profiler/analyst.  I set you in the Security Monitoring Centre as your base and will assign you a small team to assist you.”
