Mission: A Cure Delayed
Day: 6
Stardate: 2445.10.30

(Vulcan - ShiKahr- Outside the Nivar Suites– CO- Captain Sekal - 0709)

“You are captain Saleke’s boy?” He gave Sekal an unexpected... and crushing
hug which drove the oxygen from his lungs.

“He took over the Hades after Devan Sash. Of Course! Your father was a
great captain. His exit from the Hades prompted my leaving the fleet.”

“So Saleke finally found a mate, I am so sorry. I am Bohb. What did Saleke
name you?”

"Sekal and my mothers name is T'Kess." He said after regaining his breath.
"She is in the Vulcan diplomatic party."

“How’s your father? He’s gone back to the fleet? What prompted that? Is
he commanding a ship. Don’t tell me they made him admiral and he’s
commanding a desk. That would be a waste. Wait, the fleet is back? What
are you doing on Vulcan?”

The questions were flying thick and fast and he endeavored to answer the
excited Bohb in order but to do so required leaving out much of the
context. "He accepted the post of Vice-Admiral in charge of Research and
Development after the Admiralty was sacked en masse. The Hades has been
refitted and his flag is on it. Perhaps you have not heard but StarFleet is
once again expanding and my ship was completed only a few months ago. As
for why I am here, a crewman needed treatment and the closest planet that
met the requirement was Vulcan."

“There’s a juice bar just ahead, Can I buy you a drink and perhaps get some
questions answered? That is if you have the time.”

Sekal gave a minute shrug. "I have ample time." He knew which juice bar and
where, it was close to the Institute and was a favored haunt of those who
attended it including the professors. Due to the hour it should be
relatively quiet.

The Magillan was a bundle of excited energy and Sekal was unaware of the
reason for it however he was willing to indulge his curiosity as long as it
didn't segue into classified topics.

They turned in at the bar and Sekal paid for a large, frosted glass of
orange juice, no pulp then took a seat at a table by the window and waited
for the next barrage of questions.
