Penny started to move towards her friend but stopped when she saw who was behind her. McTaggard did not like Dr Quincy. She felt he was to much of a flirt for her liking.

“I should go,”  Mason said.  “You girls will have more fun without me.”

“ That we will Doctor Quincy “ Penny replied

“You should look at the Vulcan Orchid.  It is actually from Earth.”  Mason offered as a tidbit before trying to make an exit.

This angered Penny. She was a qualified botanist! As a little girl she had won the Edinburgh Upper school for girls. Flower and vegetable competition three years running. Until Gertrude McClintock beat her with a hybrid rose bush.
She the difference between a Vulcan Orchid and a night Orchid thank you very much! She watched him walk away before speaking.

“ Is it just me or is that wee man so full of him self?” She asked
