(Vulcan - Vulcan Shuttle - Ensign Scott Matrix- 0910)

 

Scott was taking advantage of shore leave. This was his second day touring
Vulcan. He'd recognized several crew members on this tour. Chief Lee was
one. The Vulcan liaison was very different from the one Scott had
encountered before. It was more informal and personable. 

 

"Good morning everyone. Welcome aboard the Sha Ka Ree   for the tour of
Vulcan. My name is Sandra your tour guide.  You going to experience two
hours of a wonderful time. If you got any questions, do free to ask."

 

The guide presented some basic information about Vulcan, class of the
planet, founding members, etc. Scott was familiar with its history from his
Academy days so he tuned out this part of the tour. He was more interested
in seeing Vulcan.hopefully they would be allowed to see and experience
Vulcan personally. 

 

Mount Seleya came into view as the shuttle pivoted and paused to allow
everyone a good view. Scott took note and snapped off a few photos for his
bucket list. 

 

"We are flying over Mount Seleya.  You could just see a temple next to the
building known as the Hall of Ancients. It was here that the concept of the
Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combination or IDIC was formulated here.
Unfortunately, we not permitted to land there without a special permit."
Said Sandra. "Now we going to find another spot to land for a rest break and
try out some Vulcan food which we have aboard.   krei'la..sort of scones..
gespar-masu, the juice of gespar, a fruit grown in the temperate zone of Kir
Provence"
