NRPG – this is my introduction to the boarding scene.  Time join in and 
have fun!!

Mission: Death in the Shadows

Day: 3

Stardate: 2446.02.

(USS Illuminar – Hanger Deck – Chief of Security Lt jn Keung Lee – 1730)

Chief Lee  looked at the three shuttles that the hanger deck crews were 
making last minute checks.   There was an air of excitement and 
anticipation among the Security officers who had been chosen for the 
Boarding operation.  The decision was to use shuttles as opposed to 
being transported over mainly because of the amount of equipment and 
weapons that needed to be stored in the shuttles.   Lee had organised 
three armed teams.  Four members in each team.   Alpha 1 led by Lee 
withDavid Lennox,Jonathan Batterburgh, andJoy Chinlo.   Beta 1 led by 
Hercules Devers with Steven  Hammons , Pevn Shasand cadet Jane Walker.  
Charlie 1 led by Galk.  Lee decided this particular Klingon needed some 
leadership experience. In his team, Jason Picard, Giisq Ao’Lik and Tony 
Cooper.  All of them been issued with the Battlesuits. Lee felt 
comfortable in the  suit. Even the cumbersome phaser  rifle he kept on 
his back did not bother him.. In less than a second he could release the 
sling andbrace the weapon.

“Okay, settle down and listen up.” Lee called for attention who was 
holding his helmet in his hand and the other hand, his padd.  "I want to 
remind you all that our mission is to secure the cargo bays, 
engineering, the bridge as well to  recover the computer memory banks.  
I will lead Alpha 1 to the Bridge and obtain the computer records.  Beta 
1 to secure engineering and cargo bays.  Charlie 1 to sweep the decks of 
any hostiles by..er..whatever means that is at your disposal.

“What about the rules of engagement.” Enquired oy

“ You are authorised to use all necessary means available and all 
appropriate actions to achieve the purpose of securing the ship.  If you 
are able  to.. detain their senior officers.” Confirmed Lee.

“Saddle up!” ordered Lee.  Always wanted to say that, he thought.  
“Alpha 1 to shuttle craft, Orion. Beta 2 to shuttlecraft New York and 
Charlie 1 to shuttlecraft Houston.”

Lee was the last to board the Onion and made his way down the shuttle, 
stopping to chat briefly with each of this team members in turn before 
taking his seat in the co-pilot seat.  He keyed his comms “Lee to 
Bridge.  Boarding party away”

(reply reactions from anyone on the other shuttles)

The hanger deck doors opened and the shuttle crafts accelerated out into 
space, closing rapidly the distance between the Illuminar  and the 
Kenasu Viper. All the shuttles were especially adapted with breaching 
pods. A connection tube with a universal docking port at the end of it. 
Lee  had been in the hanger deck where he had watched the ship engineers 
install the breaching rods onto the runabouts. "It's simple!" said one 
of the engineers. "The port latches onto the hull, forms a hermetic seal 
and then explosively breaches the hull. You crawl through the connection 
tube, through the newly made hole and onto the deck.

"Fascinating” observed Joy looking out of the port window .  She was 
glad she was bought onto the mission because of her  expertise with 
computer systems - in particular, breaking into encrypted platforms and 
extracting data

The pilot matched velocity with  the ship and banked round the ship 
looking for n docking point on the hull. Five minutes later, “I found 
what looks like an docking  port.


Lee called back to the others. “helmets on "Prepare for forced breach. "

Aboard the other two shuttles following them, the security officers  
would also be getting ready.

(Kenasu Viper - Deck2 – Chief of Security  – 1745)

Two minutes later the shuttle Orion  latched onto the hull and to Lees 
relief,the computer system performed the routine of forming a heremetics 
seat .  The shuttle shock slightly as explosives blew a hole in 
thehull.  A connection tube automatically expanded to cover the hole. At 
that moment ithDavid Lennox  had opened a hatch and threw two flash 
bangs and smoke grenades through the short connection tube into the 
hanger deck. “Go..go..go” shouted David who ran through into the 
connection tube followed quickly by the rest.

(Reply other shuttle reactions as the shuttles breached).

It was Leeled the rest of the team into the deck passage way where the 
others s stood over six bodies that belonged to the crew.   There was 
extensive damage on that particular deck.

Jonathan Batterburghhad gone ahead. And  looked back, made a V with his 
fingers and pointed at his own eyes, before making a pointing motion 
forward.  He pointed to his ear and waved. Radio silence. The  team 
stayed low and crept forward, their phasers braced and level.

Lee thought of the other teams who had breached the hull of Kenasu 
Viper.  He knew that progress would be slow for everyone. The interior 
of the ship was a series of conduits and shadows, hidden nooks and 
darkened hatches, and scorched hulls.  Every corner could hide a foe and 
there was no shortage of corners there. The lighting system was down and 
everyone will had had to rely on the visor of their tactical helmets as 
well as their skills.   Not to mention the fact that the crew of the 
Kenasu Viper were on home ground!
