Just to expand on what Al is saying here.
Reply: None only means no replies are expected, it does not mean no one
else is invited to participate in most cases.
If I see a thread I want to jump into and I'm not tagged like the scene on
the bridge with Galk or a no reply tag it doesn't even slow me down. But
then again I'm a veteran. When most people see a no reply tag they assume
they are shut out. This is often not the case.
Which does not diminish the purpose of pulling the post for a rewrite but
if you see something in the future you want to get involved and aren't
tagged don't automatically hang your head and walk away. It may take a bit
of thought to make your "in" but chances are it will be well worth it.
