(Exeter, Holodeck 1 – CTO – Lieutenant – Ire Williams - 1520)

 

" Ensign Harmon If you can't access the environmental systems orcan't do so in a timely manner I will roll two nadion pulse grenades onto thebridge with their delivery set to stun, each one has a blast radius of fourmeters, enough to cover the bridge.”

 

Ire nodded.

 

“Okay let’s go. Comm when you are in position and Ensign Harmon willkick it off.”

He turned and moved to the Jeffries tube. He’s composure broke as heleft the others and he scowled at himself as he moved through the tubes to getto his position.

 

~Stop lecturing them Ire. They are trained security personnel. They havefar more experience than you do. If you keep doing this, they are going tothink that you have no clue and that you are dangerous~

 

He remembered a grizzled Master Chief who was part of the Nova Squadron supportpersonal. Whom he remembered was feared by all the pilots. She had pulled him asidewhen he was being cocky after a training exercise because he had wiped the floorwith his squadron mates and was bragging about it. She had told his in no uncertainwords about what would happen if he carried on the way he was going.

 

~Sir there are two kinds of dangerous officers,sir: killin' officers and murderin' officers. Killin' officers are poor oldbuggers that get you killed by mistake. Murderin' officers are mad, bad, oldbuggers that get you killed on purpose. If you don’t buck up your ideas fastyou will become one of those kind of officers at which point you will suffer a trainingaccident~ 

 

Before a now worried Cadet Williams could carry on, she had lowered hervoice which was even more scary 

 

~This squadron suffers three trainingaccidents a year. Unfortunate accidents that I will not hesitate to repeat ifyou cross me~

 

He gave a slight smile. Her way of discipline and teaching was uniquebut worked. He found himself in position and quickly checked his weapons beforetapping his comm badge.

 

“This is Williams I am in position. Ready to go on your signal.”
