Mission: Space was cool before it mattered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.04.25
(USS Exeter –Holodeck observation room - 2O/CEO, Commander Keira Merek -
1516)
" Commander Merek, I'm surprised to see you here."
"Why's that?" Keira asked rhetorically, realizing that as soon as the
question escaped her mouth, that it didn't matter why he was surprised.
"Aeh tharon, rian." {R: Please sit, cousin} Keira said, indicating the
chair. Having just earned his full Federation Commission, Na'Rel had
completed several near Sisyphean feats to even be assigned his title and
position. Even though people keep mistaking him for Ravok, so much so that
an occasional slip of the tongue they'll call Tyrek by Ravok's name as if
they're all in some great game and when one character is taken from the
table, another nearly identical one takes their place run by the same
player.
" Tactical analytics is part of my job and with that being said tactical
drills fall under my purview." He said in a serious tone but then laughed
slightly.
" Truth be told there is nothing else going on and Nebulas don't interest
me." Tyrek said as kindly as he could.
Keira tapped her collar and pointed to his, "First time I've seen you since
this. Congratulations."
(Reply Tyrek)
"Trip is not big on pomp and circumstance." Keira shrugged. "I don't mean
to step on the newly crowned Commander's toes, but I'm not here in any
official capacity, just checking on a friend."
(Reply Tyrek)
"Oh, I believe he's fully capable." Keira waved off any doubts, "Changing
departments can't be easy though. It's important to support each other."
(Reply Tyrek)
Keira took a sip of her coffee beverage. "Their organization is loose and
lacks a certain formality, but it's effective. Their planning process is
interesting to watch."
(Reply Tyrek)

"There will always be those who mean to do us harm. To stop them, we risk
awakening the same evil within ourselves. Our first instinct is to seek
revenge when those we love are taken from us, but that's not who we are." -
