EXETERRPG: (1-2010) Kalen Walters

Mission: Prelude to a Broken Promise Pt.2

Day:1

Stardate: 2446.04.23


(  Pirate shuttle, cockpit- Kalen Walters -2010)





The shuttle was underway , their departure had gone smoothly and all were
the passengers were settled in. It was cramped in the shuttle as twenty-two
occupants were crammed into it, all of them were uncomfortable with the
idea of enacting violence on starfleet, but were thankful of the
opportunities they had received from Varro Kasha.


Kalen typed in the coordinates for Thaleta II,  but the helm controls
weren't accepting the the input of the desired destination.

" That's odd. " He said to the man next to him.

Kalen opened a channel to the USS Brutus.


On the viewscreen Varro Kasha appeared.

=/\= Is there a problem Kalen?=/\= He asked.


" Yeah the navigation system isn't recognizing the destination I'm putting
in." Kalen said as he worked to operate the helm controls to fix the issue.
" Wait a moment…" He said with shock in voice as the helm controls auto
plotted a course for Botus-138C , the red dwarf star of the system they
were currently in.


=/\= Enjoy your trip Kalen.=/\= Varro said with a menacing tone.


" Wh…what is happening? " He asked as he pounded away on the helm controls.


=/\= I've assumed control of the shuttle using remote commands. =/\= Varro
informed him.


" You've put us on a direct course to the center of a STAR! " Kalen
exclaimed.

Others on the shuttle began to panic.

" FLIGHT CONTROLS TO MANUAL!" One of them screamed.


Varro sat back in his chair.

=/\= I always admired a good view of terrible things .=/\= He laughed.


" You said we could go please don't do this" Kalen pleaded as he attempted
to regain control of the shuttle


=/\= I lied.=/\= Varro said harshly.


Kalen's face became flushed with horror as the speed of the shuttle jumped
to full impulse.

" Don't do this please don't do this." He continued to plead as panic built
up in the shuttle.


Varro said nothing as he sat there and watched their faces and listened to
their screams.


Kalen began beating on the helm controls in a panic , not knowing what to
do.

" DONT DO THIS !"


Varro continued to sit in silence as he watched the passengers of the
shuttle scurrying about like rodents in a cage, hopelessly trying to change
their fate.


The crimson glow of the star illuminated the interior of the shuttle as
they approached, alrams started to sound off inside the shuttle.


" WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS ?" Kalen yelled violently.


=/\= Differing perspectives of MORALITY !=/\=

Varro roared back at him as the visual feed of the channel began to
scramble as the shuttle rapidly approached the surface of the red dwarf
star, until the signal was lost altogether as the shuttle and all its
occupants were gone.
