Mission: Space was cool before it mattered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.04.25
(USS Exeter –Holodeck 1 – Armory Chief, Chief Sytuk - 1505)
“Okay Ladies and Gentle beings. I have gathered you here to run drills.
Things have been a bit quiet, and we can relax too much.”
~ Speak for yourself, I've been running safety classes all morning.~ Sytuk
thought to himself.
“So, for this drill the Exeter has been boarded by two teams of hostiles.
One team of hostiles is on the bridge holding the bridge crew hostage and
the second team of hostiles is trying to gain entry to main engineering. We
will be split into two teams. One team will be trying to gain entry onto
the bridge without getting the bridge crew killed in the process and the
other team will be defending main engineering. After the we have done it
one way we will reset and swap over so that both teams will be defending
and assaulting.”
Lieutenant Williams
looked at them.
Sytuk stood there listening to every word.
“The hostages have portable transporter inhibitors so that anyone who
thinks that they can just use the transporter then I am sorry it will have
to be the hard way but apart from that see what you can come up with. You
do have access to standard weapons from the armoury as this would be
available on board.”
Williams gave a slight smile.
“Okay Team One will be myself, Ensigns Harmon, T’Kel and Team Two will be
Lieutenant McCoy, Ensign Arbor and Chief Sytuk with the rest of the
security personnel split equally between the two teams.”
“So, Team One will be assaulting the bridge first and Team Two will be
defending main engineering this time round. This will be timed and have a
time limit. Any questions before we begin?” Lieutenant Williams asked,
opening the way for questions.
" I have two questions." Sytuk declared.
" What equipment will be available to us ? And what are the rules of
engagement against the hostiles ?" He asked.
Before Lieutenant Williams could answer, Ensign T’Kel spoke.
" Applying real world logic to these scenarios we would only have access to
the equipment in the security lockers in those locations. With four weapons
lockers located in the bridge area , with each containing the same arsenal
as the others that means we have a total eight type-3 phaser Rifles, eight
type-2 phaser pistols and twelve type-1 small- concealed phasers.
Engineering has twelve large weapons lockers across two decks , each locker
containing four rifles , and eight phaser pistols. " Ensign T'Kel explained.
Sytuk side eyed the Vulcan officer.
" Thank you Ensign. As the Chief Armory officer I was unaware of our
allocations of hand held weapons…Sir" He said in a sarcastic manner in some
small way mimicking the annoyed tone often used by Commander Bracken.
" It pleases me to be able to inform you, Chief Sytuk." T'Kel responded in
similar fashion.
