Mission: Space was cool before it mattered

Day: 1

Stardate: 2446.04.25

(Cheron CX-01- interior - ACEO Lieutenant Ethan Miller - 1430)

“The Engines are working good? Gooder than your vocabulary and ability to
form sentences?” Trinity said in what Ethan could tell was a teasing manner.

~Perhaps she's giving me the diet-low fat version of the her fight pilot
jabs.~

She turned to him and winked.

" Yes ma'am, even gooder than my vocabulary." Ethan replied with a smile
then immediately looked at his console.

“Make ready warp, warp seven on my command.” Trinity ordered.

Ethan readied the warp systems even though they seemed always on the
ready.

Trinity had the ship on bearing, bringing the speed up to full impulse and
thrusters as she reached warp range. Keeping both eyes on the vector, and
the countdown in her peripheral vision she waited for both the countdown to
reach zero and Ethan’s ‘warp core ready’ statement.

" Warp systems ready. Let her rip Lieutenant "

“Ops, this is CX-01 confirm clear, heading 235 mark 6 warp 7. ETA Signal
origin forty that is four zero minutes. CX-01 please confirm clear of your
control.” Trinity said to Exeter ops.

=/\= Heading two three five mark six warp seven affirmative – Flight free.
Proceed at your discretion. Exeter out. =/\=

The ship moved to warp in an instant, no jolting , no thud within the ship.
Just a smooth transition.

Lieutenant Hammerfield stood up and looked at the engine and power readouts
“All looks ship shape to me there. I like the holographic – fully
configurable I take it?”

" The CGV user interface capabilities are even more configurable than the
CGM interface options used by the Exeter, obviously the next step in the
LCARS format. CGV allows for bio-recognition of the user, perfectly
blending biometrics with the LCARS systems, thanks to the pompous
dispositions of our Romulan counterparts."
Ethan laughed.

Remarking on the approach taken by Romulans to have the easiest way
possible to interface and access the capabilities of their technology.
