"Most certainly. To be honest, Sir, I had never thought about pilot
training. My instinct was medical because of my past incarnation as a
counsellor but pilot training could be interesting. " Erin paused for a
moment and sighed slightly.



“I should say, we have numerous dedicated pilots, and they will always take
priority, however, I like having backups, and ace in the sleeve if you
will, should circumstances mean that an away team is limited in number.
Your thoughts?”





"Just wondering how to proceed with this. I know I can talk to Lieutenant
Kruze and see if he would be willing to either train me himself or ask one
of his colleagues to do it. As for pilot training… no idea with that one."





“In the first instance speak to Lieutenant Frost. She’s the ship’s CFO now.
Be warned though, she is an absolute perfectionist, so I’m made to
understand.” He sipped his water, “Speak to Kruze too, as you suggest, he
may actually be facilitative to the idea of someone who can play backup.”





"Okay, I can do that Sir." Erin replied forcing herself mentally back in
the room with a smile.



“Now…I can’t say this strenuously enough, I like your idea, but it’s as an
extension to your main duties, rather than a replacement of them, that’s
not impossible of course, but that’s a different conversation. I wasn’t
kidding about what I said before.”
