“Oh wow… I’m very sorry to hear that. It’s like losing a connection to your
childhood.”

"sharko was with me since pre school. He was there when I learned to surf,
he was there when I received my black belt. Shark was even there when I
graduated from the academy. Hidden under my graduation gown. It just makes
me so mad." Thea said.

“It’s ok to be upset, it doesn’t make you foolish. It’s a real loss you’re
grieving.”

"He is irreplaceable."

“When did Layla become one of your responsibilities, anyway? I don’t know
why that’s something a yeoman would be doing. Especially with a dog who
sounds like such a terror.”

"I am the captain's yeoman. And normally Layla is pretty good about not
being a, well both literal and figurative bitch. But as part of my
adminstrative duties its just taking her on walks, little things. As a way
to allow the captain to well, be the captain."

threat....maybe not a threat, but like a barrier between her and her
