(USS Exeter - Deck 9- Starlight lounge - CMO Lt. SG Heinrich Kruze- 1005)

"Is there anything you'd like to try Sir?” The bartender asked Heinrich. "We have a wide selection of authentics…” He glanced at Tyrek. "Some are apparently more authentic than others.” 

“I’ll have a brandy old fashioned, sweet” Heinrich said. If the drinks were of questionable authenticity at least he could order an authentic cocktail popular on Alpha 5.

"Yes Sir." The bartender nodded and walked away.

“I haven’t had a brandy old fashioned in a long time…” Heinrich muttered to himself. The past few months have been exciting, and he wouldn’t trade them for the galaxy. But they have also been uniquely exhausting and, not in the least traumatic. It was rare he let himself relax, and rarer still he let himself have a beverage. Which was a notable change for him since he first came on board.

“Did I ever tell you about the first shore leave I had on the Exeter?” Heinrich asked, now waxing nostalgic for what was, in fact, not even half a year ago.

“I had just joined the ship’s crew shortly before shore leave. We went to Risa. It was my first time being on a ship, my first time being on shore leave. I didn’t know what I was doing, or what to do. So I got myself some romulan ale. I assume it was inauthentic,” he said with a smile.

“It messed me up. I don’t remember too much. All I remember was I woke up in a hotel room with an urn in my bed. And there were people looking for me. Maybe I shouldn’t be telling you this…”
