Mission: Space was cool before it mattered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.04.25
(USS Exeter - Deck 7- Sick Bay- SF MedObs Cmdr Ailynn Bracken -0902)
“That can be arranged.” He said with a faint smile. Downtime had opened up
his schedule considerably. “Why don’t you take a seat over there.” He said
pointing to the nearest biobed.
Ailynn followed Heinrich’s gesture, and stepped over toward the biobed, and
after sitting on the edge, swung her legs up rested back. “Thank you
Heinrich.” She said. “Ready when you are”
They walked over to the biobed and Heinrich took out his tricorder. “Thank
you again for your help with the nanite tech by the way. The plan worked
perfectly.”
“It’s…no bother.” She managed. “I’m not going to lie, I remain uneasy about
that technology, but I’m glad that it helped.” She watched Kruze as he
worked, dividing his attention between the scans that no doubt were already
appearing on the screen, and to her, she liked his manner, finding herself
relaxing slightly.
“And how are you feeling? Is there anything that might need attention?”
“None medical that you don’t know about. The dextrocardia isn’t a problem,
no recent illnesses.” She smiled gently. “The elephant in the room…”
(Reply Kruze)
“I was actually meaning my presence here as a Medical Commander, sent by
the Fleet Surgeon General, but to be fair you had a fifty fifty chance and
I’m cheating and being naughty.” She winked playfully. “I’m not here to
oust you, or overrule you in any way. You remain in complete medical
control of the souls of this vessel. Should I tread on your toes, you have
my permission to tell me to back off.” She shrugged. “Felt it best to rip
that plaster off and move on.”
