"Yeah, but I don't need you to cover for me if the reason I was up all
night was because I was reading the collected works of Aristotle." Alistair
said with a big yawn.


Ethan laughed.

Brightwood's choice in literature never ceased to amaze Ethan.

" I would fall asleep reading that stuff."


"Besides, you covered for me last week so I could take Cerise to the
holodeck for a bike ride and a picnic. So in my book we are even."


Ethan shrugged.

" I guess, if you say so."


"How are things with Lieutenant Frost going?" Brightwood asked.


Ethan smiled and looked around engineering.

" Good, really good. She helped me set up my new quarters. I was worried
she was gonna pull the stereotypical routine that most women seem to do and
tell me where to put my stuff, but she let me decorate my own space. It's
the simple things about her ya know? We do dinner at my place then run to
her place and watch movies because she has a bigger viewscreen and a better
couch. The best part about her is I can be myself around her and she
genuinely supports me. I could go on and on. " Ethan said with a smile.
