Mission: Space was cool before it mattered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.04.25

(USS Exeter - Main Bridge - 2O/CEO, Commander Keira Merek - 0759)

"Commander, good morning. I was hoping I would catch you before the shift
change. I didn't want to message you while you were on duty and I didn't
want to bother you with a comms message after in case you decided to take a
nap after the night shift. Which is totally merited and justified."

"Very kind of you Counsellor, perhaps you should branch out into diplomacy
as well." Keira said with a grin.

"Listen, I wanted to just touch base with you." He said leaning in closer
to be less audible to the rest of the bridge crew. "It has been almost two
months since our conversation when we were orbiting Vandalos, and I just
wanted to touch base with you, see how you were doing and all that. See how
the integration of Commander Merek and Keira Merek was going."

"I have been quite busy but still managed to make some progress in that
area." Keira said, her tone was more likened to a briefing than a personal
matter.

"I know you've been extra busy since the promotion, but I figured that now
would be a good time to do an assessment of your progress. I mean, not now,
now, but sometime in the near future."

"Do you have an opening today?" Keira asked. "I'd be free anytime after
0900."

(Reply Roberts)

"I could swing that." Keira replied, making a note in her calendar.

awakening the same evil within ourselves. Our first instinct is to seek
revenge when those we love are taken from us, but that's not who we are." -
