"You ever feel like engineering is at its most boring when we are not
actually going anywhere?" Alistair said as he approached his ACEO
counterpart Lt. Ethan Miller.


(reply Miller) "sometimes I feel like the warp core is sad when we sit
here, for all intents and purposes, parked and she doesn't get to take us
anywhere. You know, if warp cores get sad." (reply Miller)

Alistair let out a big yawn. "I don't suppose you could handle the alpha
shift on your own and I can just go back to bed. Just warm up in my cozy
covers." Alistair I sighed. "I suppose it is my fault really for staying up
way too late last night working on side projects. Oh well. Should be
