(USS Exeter – Mess Hall – HN, Violet Drake- 0805)

"Mind if I have a seat Lieutenant, the mess hall seems to be busy this
morning and this is the only seat available." Of course it didn't matter
what the lieutenant said, it was the only seat available and she was going
to sit there regardless if he wanted her to or not. Violet was just being
polite.

"You know, I don't know why I came here for breakfast. I could have gone to
the Nine and Dine or the Starlight Lounge, they tend to have less breakfast
rush. Or I could have eaten in my quarters. Not Bean me up! though, they
usually tend to be a bit too crowded for my tastes. And I prefer something
a bit heartier for breakfast."

"I guess I just come here because I like being around people and some of
the people I encounter in sickbay can be real energy sucks. Not the
patients of course, but my coworkers. So I guess the mess hall is the best
place for early morning conversation."
