(Exeter – Sickbay - COO, LT Janice Hammerfield - 1248)

“Lieutenant Hammerfield! Thank you for being so prompt. Right over here please.” He said, gesturing his way. He was leaning near the door of a private room across the way. He sipped his coffee as Janice approached.

Following him into the room Janice looked about slowly before taking a seat, “Everything ok doc?”

“My apologies for taking up more of your time, but the miners we rescued yesterday have all come down with radiation sickness.” Heinrich took a deep breath and quickly moved into the next part of his speech, “Now, I don’t want you to be alarmed, we have no reason to think that might be our fate. But I did think given the circumstances it’d be a good idea to have the away team examined one more time. Perhaps we might even hold a clue as to what is going on.”

"Understood – Our EV suits didn’t give off any radiation alarm and our time inside was comparatively short,” she added sounding unalarmed at least for the moment.

“Seeing as I was also part of the away team I will not be doing the exams. That would be against protocol. But I have asked Dr. Klaz Vulon to examine us as he sees fit. Have you had a chance to meet the good doctor yet?”

“I’ve not no. I take it this is all routine right now? Are they miner is a treatable state?” she poked her head up to try look into the medbay.

“Gottcha – well... lets get these tests over with then,” she smiled a bit and then rubbed her hands on her legs a little.
