(Runabout Muskogee - CTO/2O  Lieutenant Commander Ravok - 0419)



Ravok readied his backpack for the away mission on the ground. Going over
final checks of everything he could think of needing.


"Sir ,We're about 15 minutes from our destination." Lieutenant Winters
informed him.


Ravok looked up at her as he knelt down with his hands on his backpack.

" Good."


"However, we have a problem. I tried to send a message to the Exeter about
our progress, but it seems that our comms are down." Ronnie said.

He looked at her and shook his head.

" What? How?" He said loudly as he stood up and walked over to a terminal
interface on the wall and keyed away a few commands.



"I can't explain it, but I can't get a message out, I've got the computers
running a diagnostic, but it looks like its been damaged."

Ravok looked at the diagnostic currently being performed.

" Damn it."

"Sir, comms were working when we left the Exeter, and we've suffered no
damage since we left. I hate to say this, but the only way for our comms to
fail like this is either mainetnance did a terrible job or....well I don't
really want to think about the second option."


" Second option? Sabotage? " Ravok asked and looked around.

( reply all in shuttle if you want.)

" Well Ensign Jori was back here looking over the equipment and Doctor
Kruze was with you. Only person on this vessel who had access to comms were
you and I. Only person capable of dismantling or disabling Comms is me. "

" No I didn't do it. " Ravok replied harshly and pulled up communications
subroutines.

" Look ! There it is. A small encrypted command code was sent with Ensign
Fuller's last message to us. The command code was hidden within the comm
links carrier signal. I thought they fixed the issues we were having on the
Exeter." Ravok said in frustration.

" We've come too far to abort. I'll launch a probe towards the Exeter and
have it emit a coded message to Lieutenant Alexander . As strat Ops he can
decipher the message and bring it to Captain Brackens attention per
protocol." Ravok said as he keyed in the command functions of the probe and
launched it.
