Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.01.03

(USS Exeter –Broken Bow – Cockpit- COO LTjg Paul Sleeford 04:14)

Paul placed the runabout on auto and walked the short distance to the
left hand wall, removing a panel he looked at the blackened mess, the
comms relay had fried in the short attack.

“Well that explains the comms”

Placing the panel back he turned to the large piece of metal he’d beamed
aboard, grabbing a tricorder from the rack he started scanning the
material. The sound of shooting from the rear of the runabout.

Throwing the tricorder down, Paul moved the three step to the weapons
locker, punching in the code he grabbed a mark one phaser and held it by
his side ready. Hearing footsteps approaching Paul raised his arm aiming
the phaser at the doorway.

Seeing Ire staggering through the door, Paul stood to one side with his
arm lowered slightly, watching as the CFO slumped down it the pilots seat.

“I can’t believe it.”

“Don’t believe what? What happened back there”

Seeing the weapon come up in Ires hand,Paul raised his arm and settled
his thumb over the firing button, seeing the other phaser placed on the
console, Paul relaxed slightly.

“He just went crazy….I mean T’Kel snapped or something.”

Paul found the statement hard to believe, he’d worked with T’Kel on
numerous occasions whilst in security and several times since, he found
him to be the most stable person on the ship. Nothing seemed to phase
him, even for a Vulcan he was calm and logical. Watching as Ire calmed
down and took a deep breath.

“We were aft and T’Kel was just inspecting some of the internal systems.
He must have triggered something as I was blinded by a flash. As I
regained my site he was launching himself at me trying to take my head
off with the panel. I just managed to get my phaser out before he caved
my head in.”

“Any ideas why he attacked you?”

“I don’t know why he did that. He was acting normal...well normal for a
Vulcan anyway moments before.”

Nodding Paul kept an eye on the weapon sitting empty within reach of
Ire, something had happened back there, something wrong, T’Kel would’t
just attack, unless something or someone had attacked him first,

“What did he do to my ship?”

Following the glance Paul scanned the board quickly, propulsion,
communications, weapon’s and transporters where out, life support was at
two thirds, IDF/SIF where at fifty percent. Anything more then thrusters
should have them smeared over the rear bulkhead.

“Nothing that can’t be fixed, there’s a small repair kit in bulk head C,
I’ll go grab it and see if I can sort out the mess back there, I’ll
place the weapon back in the locker as well.“

Reaching for the phaser near Ire’s hand, Paul was weary, out of the
three occupants on the runabout one had gone mad and attacked the other,
but which way round. Carefully picking up the weapon, Paul backed away
keeping an eye on Ire.

Moving to the rear door, Paul placed the fired weapon in his belt and
the mark one back in the locker.  Stepping through the door he squatted
to check on  T’Kel. Finding  he was breathing, he rolled him into the
recovery position, standing he pulled the panel open and looked inside,
shaking his head he saw a blackened module, like someone had fired a
phaser at it, looking back towards the cockpit, taking the small
toolkit, Paul removed the blackened module, throwing the ruined one on
the floor Paul caught movement out of the corner of his eye, reaching
slowly for the phaser he pushed a new module into the slot, closing the
panel he replace the tools and the kit in the locker.  Looking down to
where T'Kel lay he caught the movement again, this time ducking as a
large spanner swung where his head had been. Falling to the floor, Paul
rolled onto his back and firing as he pulled the phaser, seeing the beam
hit the wall. He felt the spanner strike his left shoulder, feeling his
arm go numb Paul swore, as the phaser dropped to the floor.
