Mission: Andromeda's Chain

Day: 1

Stardate: 2446.01.03

(USS Exeter – Astrometrics - CSO Lt Erin Cortez – 0334)

After the two engineers had left, Erin strolled over to the replicator and
got a cup of coffee. Taking a long sip, she put the cup down on the console
and sighed.

“Oh i hate it when i am right. I know i am, it’s just now proving it. Okay,
let’s start again. Computer, take the star maps from the Kelvan expedition,
and allowing for concurrent stellar drift, overlay them with the maps
created from the probes and sensors of where we are now.”

The computer beeped a slight acknowledgement and announced that the
requested operation would take 20 minutes or so. Sighing heavily, Erin took
another sip of her coffee and began to read through the Kelvin mission logs
again.

“Okay, so noting the Radiation and subsequent gamma ray bursts, glows of
the LISM plasma and the solar wind pickup ions, any flux distributions…
compare it with the readings taking from the probes to the original Kelvan
report.”

=/\= Comparison is within expected allowances for time frame. =/\=

Erin, feeling the nerves and the frustration building, hit the console and
groaned. ~son of a …. I knew it. Now we wait for the other report and then,
we see just how right i was.~

As she looked at the data that the computer had compiled, Erin closed her
eyes. It had been confirmed within all accepted parameters. Downloading the
information onto her secure PADD and, isolating it to the computers
assigned for this information whilst double checking the security protocols
she had put in place, Erin rubbed her forehead.

~I need to stop drinking coffee right now. I need a clear head to present
this.~
