NRPG: Will knows I have a high opinion of him, and anything spoken is in
character and only for such... but since he decided to take the session
this way this is what he gets :P

Mission: Andromeda's Chain

Day: 1

Stardate: 2446.01.03

(USS Exeter - Counseling Center- Conus Lt. Victoria Corsica - 0221)

"No I don't think it's my ^%$#$#$# fault. Why would it be my %$#$#@$#
fault? I trusted someone and they stabbed me in the back, thats their
^%#@$#@ fault. Sure I should have shown better judgement, but this isn't an
issue with fault. I don't blame myself, because there is nothing that I
need to blame myself for. I came here to help work through and process my
emotions so I could cool off and get back on duty. But if all you are going
to focus on is whether I blame myself when I so clearly don't. Maybe I
should just leave and go for a run instead so I don't waste your time."

Victoria was calm. She needed to be, to use the wrong words would only make
matters worse. "Is that not what you're doing, anger is an emotion, and
it's clear you are upset."

"So then, is there anything else you want to ask, or should I be on my way?"

"If you leave this office in such a state there is no way I can in good
conscience allow you to return to full duty." She spoke calmly however her
ears were flattened against the back of her head a sign her own
patience was wearing thin. "Again let me reiterate. I have never said that
any of this is your fault, nor have I implied such, and what I meant about
not being the one to care for your secrets is that trust takes time to
develop I would not expect you to trust me anything you felt needed a
degree of secrecy because we don't have that kind of relationship. Now what
is spoken here is kept as part of your medical record and is classified as
such and can only be accessed by you and other medical personnel when it is
deemed pertinent. I know what my job entails, and I will make sure it is
done appropriately."

(reply Winters)

"I only asked because you seem to have a want to place blame, either on
myself, or on Dr. Vespers." She locked her eyes on hers. "If you can not
accept your own actions that lead to this and accept the responsibility
that is yours and stop placing blame you will never properly heal, much
less be able to accurately process your emotions, or be able to be a
functional member of this crew. Am I understood." Until now Victoria was
more than willing to let Ronnie control the flow of the session but it had
run its course. Her voice had taken on a harsh tone of finality. Victoria
didn't like making such moves; she understood when it was needed, but that
didn't mean she liked to use them. "As I said, I am not here to hold your
hand and tell you that everything will be ok and put a bandaid on whatever
emotional hurt you have. My job is to determine if you are fit for duty and
identify any mental conditions that need to be addressed by medical. Right
now I don't see where you are fit for duty. Right now you are an emotional
wreck, and I will not force you to stay here. But if you choose to leave I
will have you removed from the active roster till you've had the time to
calm down and be re-evaluated by myself or another member of my staff. I am
not doing this to be mean or that I have anything personal against you."

(reply Winters)

She sighed, as her voice softened, "I feel for you, I really do. But I have
to correct what Vespers did wrong and that is to be professional, and do my
job even the parts that are painful and ugly. In my professional
opinion you need to take at least the next 24 hours for yourself. Take time
to be with family and friends, those you know well, support you, and start
to heal. give yourself that time." Victoria felt there was more behind the
pain Winters was feeling. "If you have anything else to say I am all ears?"

(reply Winters)
