(Toronto –Pinewood Toronto Studios, Lot 3 – ACEO Lieutenant Janice Hammerfield / Ava Kelly – 1032)



"To be honest yes. I woke up this morning in a strange bed, in a strange house. I went to bed after a new years eve party. A party in which Commander Bracken wore a dress bordering on the scandalous and you I remember where in a tracksuit, just in from the gym, or at least thats how I seem to remember it. I may be wrong. "



Janice was partly relieved yet worried hearing Paul say that, “Thats... that’s what I remember too. I did wear that – but anyone here will tell me that it was a costume.”



Squatting down Paul looked up at Janice, "To be honest with you I freaked a little this morning. I'm beginning to question my sanity. I’m wondering if what I remember about last night wasn’t...”



“No last night happened I’m sure, why this is happening I’m not too sure about.”



Janice put her hand on his shoulder comfortingly, “I think so too – but I don’t have anything to work off as to why. All I know is I have a dog at home that feels like its known me for years and a fan club of tots that look up to me. Ive been winging it since I got up but some things feel off. This is my uniform but its feels... cheap. That is my rifle... but the weight is off. I was struggling to tell if I was Janice or just someone who got to close to her work,”



Looking across the parking area, Paul felt confused, “ I keep hoping this is a bad dream and I’m going to wake up. That or it’s a holodeck program Katie’s dragged me into, either way I’m getting a little bit scared.”



Picking Paul up onto his feet Janice gave him a quick friendly hug to try and settle him, “Relax – we will find out whats going on... Somehow.”



A loud pitched ‘oooooo’ came from over by the set as a couple of the kids seen Janice trying to comfort Paul. Looking over she put her hands on her hips and lent forward a bit towards them, “You guys better watch out or you’ll be next in line for a hug!” Quickly the scarpered back off to the food serving area behind leaving Janice with a small smirk on her face.



Janice turned back to Paul, “I don’t know whats going on but we will figure it out. If this is... Ava’s... my... or not’s life I don’t want to mess it up for them though. These kids look up to her too much – I cant disappoint them.” She paused for a moment before continuing knowing that things are a bit skewwhiff , “Have – have you seen or spoken to Katie yet?”
