(Toronto, Canada  - Anna & Sarah’s Appartment – 2O/CEO, Lt. Cmdr. Keira Merek / Anna Hegilsdottir – 1225)

=^= This is Detective O'Toole, am I speaking to miss Hegilsdottir? =^=

There was a pause, Sarah tapped Keira on the shoulder. ~ Oh, that’s me. ~ “This is she,” Keira finally answered.

=^= Miss Hegilsdottir, it's good for you to call back. Usually people who stop robberies tend to stay and bask in the glory of what they've done. =^=

“It seemed like the thing to do. Not everyone helps people to be recognized.” Keira said. Sarah gave a thumbs up in approval. “My boss said I had to call you and cooperate or I can’t film tomorrow. So, what can I do for you, Detective?”

=^= Listen, I hate being a bother, but I'm just a man trying to do his job. I need you to come down to the precinct for a few questions. Not that you did anything wrong, but I would like to get you to come in, give a statement, and sign a few affidavits confirming what you told us. The sooner the better. I can have the front desk give you the address. But regardless, gonna need you to come in. =^=

“If that’s what it takes.” Keira said.

(Reply O’Toole)

Keira stayed on the line and listened to them give out the address. “I’ll see you shortly,” then she hung up.

“Let’s go and get this over with.” Keira said. Keira and Sarah walked out the door.

(Toronto, Canada  -Toronto Metro Police Precinct – 2O/CEO, Lt. Cmdr. Keira Merek – 1243)

The police department to Keira had a long and narrow parking lot. All of the close spots were taken up with squad cars other vehicles that weren’t marked. Sarah parked about halfway down the remaining lot, close to the railroad tracks.

“We’re doing the right thing, Anna.” Sarah said as the pair exited the vehicle.

“I know,” Keira answered. “If I would have known it was going to be this much of a hassle, I would have just stayed. We could be home right now, drinking whatever it was we got and…”

“I know, but we’ve got all day for that,” Sarah tried soothing her. “Let’s just get this over with. ‘Kay?”

Keira nodded. They began the walk to the building. Sarah grabbed Keira’s hand and squeezed it. Keira made no effort to resist Sarah’s public display of affection, her attention was everywhere else. She saw five marked patrol cars in a on the right, but room for three more. She heard the buzzing of an impact wrench from an auto shop down a side street.

A short walk and the pair were at the front double doors. Keira reached out and pulled the right door open with her right hand. Sarah took that as her cue to walk through it.

“Why, thank you madam.” Sarah jested.

“We’re here to see Detective O’Toole.” Keira announced to the reception desk.
