Adala woke to sunlight streaming through the window of her bedroom.
~Sunshine~ She sat up with a start and looked around her.  ~Where was she?
What was she doing here?~ She slid out of bed, slipped her feet into a pair
of slippers and pulled the robe over her shoulders that had been tossed
over the chair at the foot of the bed.

She wandered through the apartment, looking at the pictures on the wall.
The faces, except hers, were nobody she recognized. A pile of what appeared
to be letters on the counter in the kitchen and what apparently was a
manuscript for a tv show, all of which  carried the name Aiden McGowan.

Adala poured a cup of coffee, at least she hoped it was coffee. It smelled
like coffee from the pot on the counter and sat down, she pulled the
manuscript from the envelope and began to read it.
