(Risa– TemtibiLagoon – Costal Path – OPS officer – Ensign (J.G.) - Oliver Wallis - 12:20)

Oliver reached the top of the outcrop and looked back along the winding path that he had walked. He had gottenfurther then he had though he would have. He paused at the top and looked outover the sea beyond. The views were spectacular the blue ocean stretching formiles in either direction and clear sky for as far as eye could see until the horizonblended them both. He found an acceptable sizes boulder and swung his rucksackoff his shoulder as he sat down upon it.

“This is the life.”

He grinned to himself as he pulled out a water bottle and pulled out a small package which heput beside him. He opened the package and took out a pasty. It was a thick traditionalCornish pasty which he had when he was a child walking along the costal paths inPembrokeshire when he was younger.  He rememberedfun holidays where he and his brothers and sisters would go for long walks alongthe costal paths. He could remember the bright sun shine and warm days filledwith walking miles and miles along the costal paths visiting the littlevillages and cafes that periodical dotted along the path.

His memories cameback to him as he began to eat his pasty and drink his water. He could smellthe sea air which was being brough in by the onshore wind. Something felt off buthe could not place it. He looked around searching the sky until it suddenly hithim. There were no seagulls trying to eat his food. He remembered one walkwhere a seagull swooped in and took an ice cream out of his sisters’ hand. It hadlanded nearby with an ice cream bulge in its neck looking very pleased with itself.

“Well not seagullshere.”

He finished hispasty, put his empty box and bottle back in the rucksack. He stood up and slungit over his shoulder before heading off along the path towards the next outcrop in the distance.
