( USS Exeter - Bridge - Lt Jg Greta Smith - 1600)

After returning from Risa, showering and changing back into her uniform,
Greta had grabbed a small bite to eat and now walked onto the bridge to
begin her shift.

As she relieved the in duty tactical officer, she stood at the console and
sighed. As much as she had enjoyed being on Risa, being back on the ship
and doing her duty shift felt like home. The last few weeks, she had found
a new zest for her work, an ability to focus on what was needed of her and
what she needed of herself.

Taking a breath, she began to run diagnostics on the weapons systems.
Making sure that they were operating at peak efficiency was a priority.
Even though there was a skeleton crew on board and most of the command
staff were on Risa, she knew that she had something to prove. That she
wasn't what the ships gossipers had her pegged as, that she was and would
always be a capable officer first and foremost.
