Ire cast his eyesacross the to make sure that everything was online and functioning correctly beforehe opened the comm channel.

 

“Exeter this is theBrocken Bow. Requesting permission to launch and start systems checks.”

He watched as theshuttle bay doors slid open and increased power to the thrusters as the BrockenBow rose gently of the deck. He pulsed he impulse engines to give him forward momentumas the Brocken Bow moved out of the Exeter’s shuttle bay and out into space.When we reached safety distance, he increased the impulse engines to full speedand turned away from the Exeter.

 

“Riza SystemControl this is the Brocken Bow.”

“Riza System Control.I am requesting vector to my testing area as per my flight plan.”

He glanced over atthe navigational read out and saw a course to his indicated area. He frowned fora moment seeing that is was at the edge of the system but he guessed that ifsomething happened having parts of his runabout raining down over the tourists belowwould not be acceptable for business or their reputation. 

 

“I have received vectorand heading.”

He’s fingers dancedacross the as the Brocken Bow turned onto the new heading as he increased the impulseengines to maximum and a small smile crept across his lips.
