(USS Exeter – Nine and Dine – Ensign Janice Hammerfield– 1200)

In one of the corners of the room Janice sat with a bowl of soup. Nice warm tomato soup and a soft roll. She had taken a few spoonful’s out of it so far but mostly she was pushing it around. She was currently tossing up between being hungry and tired. Occasionally there was a gap where she could take a bite.

Looking up at the room she watched for a moment as people came in and out – back and fourth before glancing back down at her bowl and taking another spoon to her mouth. She blew on it a few times and slowly ate the soup. Swallowing it she pulled out the box in her pocket and sat it on the table beside her. She left it there sitting beside her to watch her.
