Mission: Murder on the Exeter Express
Day:03
Stardate: 2554:12:03

(USS Exeter – ACMO – Ensign Dural Methor DrPH - 0126)

“If you’re walking you aren’t critical enough to be admitted yet,” Dural bellowed over the people coming into sickbay. “We’ll come get you when we have an opening. Yell if one of your fellow crew collapses.”

The Cardassian Doctor could hear the shimmering whine of the transporter, and turned around to see the XO and a new patient who he immediately recognized as Mr. More.

~He found his way back this time as a patient.~

“Computer get me a scan.” She then turned toward the rest of the bay. “Any assistance please?”

“You’ve got help.” Dural said with a couple short steps he was already on the trauma bed. He helped her straighten the flaccid mass that was More’s unconscious form. He saw the oscilloscope waveform write itself on the biobed monitor. “Oh, that’s not good.” Slipped from his mouth. He reached for the emergency supply cart just as the XO asked for it.

“Shock-induced Paroxysmal Atrial Flutter.” She replied. “Crash Trolley...NOW!” she snapped, as time went on her orders came quicker and more precise and . “Paddles set to 250!”

At times like this Dural’s eidetic memory came in very handy. He remembered the exact placement of the electrodes for humans, one at the sternum and one at the apex of the heart. He grabbed the ordered devices and set them for the requested 250 joules and for verbal override if the XO wanted to change them she needed to only state it. Dural could have started vascular access, but didn’t because he knew what was coming next.

~By the book.~

“Set for two hundred fifty joules, clear.” Dural said calmly and clearly somehow making it over the noises of sickbay.

Stan’s body flopped slightly as the current went through his body.
