Mission: Murder on the Exeter Express
Day: 3
Stardate: 2445.12.03

(USS Exeter – Deck 9, In front of Holodeck 3 – 2O/CEO – Lt. Cmdr. Keira Merek – 0039)

"Commander Merek, get the beam ready. I want our team in that holodeck by 0100."

~ No acknowledgement, no thanks for the input, techie just do your job I guess.~

“Aye.” She said softly and began to turn around, but the Captain touched her shoulder. He motioned for her to come to one side.
"Commander, I know you have reservations about this plan. But honestly, I can feel the pain of the folks in there. They are hurting, they are grieving. Hell..." Trip began to whisper at this point. "Ire is feeling a rage, I have never felt him have before. I'm not just worried about their physical health, but their mental health. The long term effects. I know this is gonna be rough, but sometimes you have to hit on 17 in Black Jack if you want to win.”
“Roulette?” She looked puzzled, “the Earth casino game?” Sometimes the Captain’s Earth colloquialisms went right over Keira’s head. Despite that, the gravitas of the Skipper’s words let her know that time was of the essence and he believed this was the best plan.
"I wouldn't be asking you to do this if I didn't think you were capable of doing this. I wouldn't ask ravok to do it if I didn't think you were capable of doing it. I don't care what anyone says, you are a generational engineering mind."
“I’m flattered you think so, but this person has been steps ahead of us from the beginning…” Keira started.
"So, reservations or not, this is the game plan. I trust you to get them in there. If you object, I'll get Brightwood or Vosi to do it. But you are the one smart enough to get them in there. I've made my decision. But if you don't think you can do it then we will change direction. But I know you can. I believe you can."
~Everyone’s life is in your hands, no big deal.~
“Aye.” She answered this time with more confidence. “I still don’t trust the site to site system, have them assemble in Emergency Transporter room two just down the hall, eighteen minutes?”
(Reply Trip, any)
Keira broke into a trot toward the transporter room.

A series of diagnostics, and an adjustment to the console to have it only take manual input, and she was ready. The team had already begun to assemble as she was making the final adjustments.
(Reply Bracken, Ravok, Kruse, Arbor, IYW)
“I’ve adjusted the console to only accept my manual input. This precludes any nasty viruses or booby traps in the software and I’ve done a full mechanical sweep of the transporter pads and found nothing that shouldn’t be there.” Keira reported. “This transport is completely manual, I won’t beam you into anything, but to avoid anyone merging with the ground some of you might be one to five centimeters above the ground. Take that into consideration when you materialize.”
(Reply Bracken, any)
“Positions please, transport in two minutes.” Keira announced.
(Reply any)
As the team coordinated Keira performed her final calculations. She looked up one last time, her eyes locked with the man she loved, who she came to adore over the last year and a half.
(Reply Ravok)
“Arhem docgae, duhaen h'ta fvau i arhva,” {ND Rom: I know, just hurry back to me.} she answered.
(Reply Bracken)
The Romulan woman steeled herself. “Energizing.” She announced as her left hand guided the slider controls up and the away team dematerialized off the transporter pad.
