Ravok paid full attention as Trip spoke.

"Ok so Arbor, Ravok and Dr. Kruze are going to go in, Commander Bracken,
you and Lt. Smith Guard the door. Nurse Drake, will stay on standby just in
case. That alright with you Commander?"

Ravok instantly glanced over at Commander Bracken who seemed to be in a
state of shock, but not in a helpless way but in the way she often looks
when she is about to bombard someone with common sense. Trip carried on
conversation with Counselor Corsica then turned his attention to Ravok.


"And before you gear up Lieutenant Ravok, I'll be leading the rescue team,
not you. My people are in danger, and dammit, I'm gonna get them out," Trip
commanded.

Ravok was about to speak but was beaten to the opportunity by Ailynn.

 “Captain, I must object.”

Ravok stood there growing more and more impatient, his family was in there.

He took a deep breath as the captain and first officer talked. When they
were finished Ravok looked at everyone.

" Let's end this and get our people back." He said with pure determination.
The people on the other side of that door were family. To him Erin was
still the girl that sat next to him in Xeno linguistics during second year
at the academy. She was the girl that didn't see him as a Romulan. She saw
Ravok for who he was and in many ways made him see things about himself
that he was blind to his entire life.

Ire. To Ravok he was still the most fortunate and simultaneously
unfortunate pilot he had ever encountered. Ire was a brother in arms and a
friend in heart. Ire had asked Ravok to be his best man. It was the highest
honor of Ravoks life up to that point.

Nesha was older than him but had all the traits of an annoying kid sister.
His daughter looked up to her in many ways.

He often wished he had more time with her. Besides his daughter she was the
only link to his own Romulan heritage that he had left.
