Mission: Murder on the Exeter Express
Day: 3
Stardate: 2445.12.o3
(USS Exeter – OPS Office – 2O/CEO – Lt. Cmdr. Keira Merek – 0017)
“Kiera, you okay?” she asked as they left the room.
“Nothing a good drink won’t help after this is all done.” Keira answered with a chuckle.
Ailynn nodded. “Do everything that you need.”
A young Ops officer, new to the Exeter looked like she was coming in to assume her assigned duties. Bracken spoke.“I wouldn’t go in the Office Ensign. Someone broke it. It was okay when we left the room.”
Keira shrugged, “Out of order.”
With a grin, Merek started thinking of the different ways to bypass existing systems while the XO spoke to the Head Counselor.

It was fortunate the ‘lifts weren’t locked out like some of the other systems. If they had walked the crisis would likely have been over by the time they got there.
"Kiera, Office is the door on the left, derestrict the terminal and it will give you full access to the entire system."
Keira only nodded. She was aware of the maintenance room she was referring to, having performed repairs and diagnostics on the holodeck a few times herself. The door slid to the side as she approached, she caught a short glimpse of her significant other rounding the corner. She felt her heavy heart lighten a little. ~At least he wasn’t grabbed.~ Then felt a pang of guilt about allowing herself a moment of selfishness.
“….No one does that to my friends and colleagues.” Keira heard the First Officer say before the door closed.
The Chief Engineer deftly unlocked the terminal and began probing the holodeck systems for a way in.

Keira sprang out of her seat and embraced the man that walked through the door. “You’re alright!”
(Reply Ravok)
“Did they tell you? Whoever it is, got Erin.” Keira said.

“Oh,” She said touching the singed parts of her uniform, “I got into a disagreement with the main console in the OPS office. Seems the person who took everyone left a trap in some of the algorithms.”
(Reply Ravok)
“I promise you. I’m fine. We can worry about that later, we’ve got people to get out.” She said as she sat back down and got to work.
(Reply Ravok, any)
She brought up the holodeck program that had everyone trapped. ~First order of business.~ A short search through the code brought up the intrusion countermeasures that were put in place that destroyed the OPS console. She wrote a quick subroutine based off of a Romulan algorithm to augment the Starfleet counter-intrusion software. It would start with the one that she had identify and then go through all three computer cores purging all the traps from the system.
(Reply any)
While the program she made was running, she made another attempt at accessing the active simulation in Holodeck Three. It was still locked out of the higher functions, might take her a bit to crack that, but it did allow audio/visual viewing. She pulled up the feed on her screen.
“I’ve got live feed!” She announced loud enough for everyone to hear.
