EXETERRPG: (3, 0015) "The Visitor"

Mission: Murder on the Exeter Express
Day: 3
Stardate: 2445.12.o3

(USS Exeter - Holodeck 3 - "The Visitor" - 0015)

The endgame had finally arrived. Had Tyko Nix made the decision not to
board the Exeter, he;d still be alive and she wouldn't have had to kill him
and enact this plan. Unfortunately the crew was more persistent and
competent than she had originally given them credit for. If she had the
swap device, she'd be in the captain right now, but that damned Tyk Nix
made sure of that. So it was time for the end game. Her being found out was
now an eventuality, and if her capture was imminent, she would give them a
show. She managed to get control of some of the internal transporters. She
would only get one shot to beam her prey to her. Maintaining control of
holodeck 3 would be much simpler. Safety overrides were off, doors were
locked, and she managed to put enough redundancies in the system that it
would take time for those on the outside to reestablish control. Just
enough time for her to play a little game.

"Now then who should I play with." The figure no longer wore a starfleet
uniform, but rather was dressed in a black suit, with red tie, and  cane in
her hand. She sat down on a throne and smiled. "I have one shot at this,
here goes." Selecting her prey she laughed. A combination of menacing and
seductive. "Energize."

In that moment a group of officers appeared in her dark throne room,
trapped in stasis fields.

materialize)

As they materialized a song began playing throughout the holodeck.

"You may be wondering,
Who ive been all along
you may have gotten close
But you've always been wrong
I know you are dying
to finally meet me
But don't think for one moment
You can actually beat me
the time for games is over
this much is true
but when it all comes crashing down
Please dont be blue
The end is coming soon
it is plain for all to see
If you want to start the end game
Weclome to holodeck 3"

"Welcome, welcome, to this the endgame. " The figue said. "You were close,
oh so close. But I figure if I am going down, I'm going to take some of you
with me. "Some of you are here, because you couldn't leave well enough
alone. Some of you are here because you are the Tactical chief's secret
eyes and ears. Right, Nesha?"

(reply Nesha)

"Some of you are here because you are interesting, though your chaos would
be more useful to me on the outside. And one of you is here, because I find
you to be an absolute bore. Right David?"

(Reply Clarke)

"I mean, if I had it my way, I'd have swapped into the captain, or the
first officer, or even the captains wife. Then I'd have that yummy captain
wrapped around my finger. But no, swapping can be a crap shoot. But I made
the best of it. But David, you are so dull, that I wanted you here to prove
a point."

The figure than smiled. "You can call me Maxine, but Maxine isn't here
right now, so call me what they called me in my home universe. Empress."

(reply any there)

"Now your empress wants to play a game. Truth or death. You can choose
truth and answer a question truthfully, if you lie, you die. Or choose
death, and face a death trap. Truth keeps you alive. But if you survive a
death trap, I'll move you closer to me. If you can reach me, I'll let you
kill me. How does that sound."

(reply any there)

"Now then, lets begin, by showing how serious I am. Goodbye David. Hope you
had a good life."

At that moment thousands of volts of electricity surged through Clarke's
stasis field and through his body. Within seconds he was dead on the floor.

"Now that you know I'm not playing around. Let's begin in earnest. Ire
Williams, Truth or death?"
