(USS Exeter – Gym, weight room –CO, Captain Trip Williams – 2122)


Trip nodded, "So umm, hows, the um school work?"



“It’s nicely balanced at the moment, pretty run of the mill. Letting us in
gently I suppose, though I know life on a ship is nothing like that. I’d
like a ship like this, when it comes to my time.” She smiled warmly,
“You’re lucky, Bracken’s a badass. I’d totally like to be like totally
her…” Lana blushed. “I’m sorry. I’m interrupting you. I’m out of your hair.
My sets done.”



"It's all good," Trip replied, "And while Commander Bracken is a badass,
don't worry about trying to be her, just try and be you. It will payoff."
Trip smiled and noticed Petty Officer Sytuk enter and place heavy weight on
the bench to lift.


~Well, ask to be humbled and you will be humbled.~ Trip smirked to
himseslf. He was half paying attention to Lana as she said good bye. Not
even registering her words, he just nodded and smiled. Then as he noticed
her leave he just waved and said, "Have a good night."


Trip then turned back to his bench to finish his workout.

~Come on Trip, get your head in the game. You have no idea what Lana just
said to you, you zoned out. For all you know she could have said something
important and all you just said is have a good night. Dumbass.~


Trip then took a breath and continued his work out.
